The military carried out five airstrikes near the Thaphan Seik Dam in the western part of Kyunhla Township, Sagaing Region, despite the absence of any ground fighting, according to an official from the Kyunhla Activists group who spoke to Khit Thit Media.

Starting around 1:37 PM today, February 22, and lasting until 2:00 PM, one jet fighter from the Tada-U airbase and three gyrocopters from the Northwestern Command conducted five bombing runs near the dam.

While there is no immediate confirmation of civilian casualties from the strikes, local residents have been forced to flee to safety.
