Five soldiers were killed when two military vehicles were targeted in a landmine attack on the Myingyan-Nyaung-U road in Mandalay Region, an official from the Brethren Guerrilla Force told Khit Thit Media.

On February 18, at around 8:00 AM, revolutionary forces ambushed two military vehicles carrying approximately 40 troops that had departed from Letpan Chay Paw Village in Nyaung-U Township to conduct security patrols. Five junta soldiers were killed and four others were seriously injured in the blast. The revolutionary members were able to retreat without casualties.
