Early in the morning on February 19, the military carried out an airstrike on Cinkhua Village in Hakha Township. Three-year-old Lucas Vel Tha Bawi fell into a coma due to shock from the massive explosion and passed away on the morning of February 20. Two others—82-year-old U That Loi and 52-year-old Daw Swe Hlay—were injured in the same attack and are currently receiving medical treatment in Hakha.
