Nearly two dozen people were injured during two consecutive days of airstrikes starting yesterday (February 26) on Haw Zaung Village in Paungbyin Township, Sagaing Region, according to Mawlaik District Battalion 1.

Since yesterday afternoon, fighter jets, Y-12 transport planes, and gyroplanes carried out all-day bombing raids on Haw Zaung Village and its market area in eastern Paungbyin Township. Another fighter jet strike targeted the same market area around 4:00 AM today.

An information official from Mawlaik District Battalion 1 stated that during the afternoon, there were 18 strikes by fighter jets, two by Y-12 planes, and three by gyroplanes arriving from the Homalin airbase. Additionally, fighter jets carried out two more bombing runs around 4:00 AM this morning.
