28th February 2026
Four people were killed on Saturday when an Iranian missile struck a building in the southern Syrian city of Sweida, according to the official Syrian news agency SANA, following the US-Israeli attack on Iran, which responded by launching missiles at Israel, Jordan, and Gulf states.
SANA, quoting the media directorate in the Sweida governorate, reported “four deaths and a number of injuries as a result of an Iranian missile falling on a building in the industrial area inside the city of Sweida as a result of the exchange of strikes between Israel and Iran” after the announcement of a partial and temporary closure of the airspace in southern Syria.
