#Yemen | Tonight, a possible U.S. drone strike hit a car on the Corniche in Al Ghaidah city, in Al Mahrah governorate which borders the Sultanate of Oman. Two suspected al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) militants were killed in the strike.
This comes amid a noticeable increase in the use of the AGM 114R9X, known as the Ninja missile. Unlike standard Hellfire missiles, it does not carry an explosive warhead. It uses extending metal blades to strike the target directly, a design meant to limit blast damage and reduce the risk to civilians nearby.
