Ministry of National Defence: Radio contact and tracking information were lost with an F-16 aircraft that took off from Balıkesir at 00:56. As a result of the search and rescue operations that were immediately initiated, it was determined that the aircraft had crashed, and the wreckage of the aircraft has been found. Our pilot has been martyred. The cause of the accident will be determined as a result of the investigations to be carried out by the accident investigation team. We offer our condolences to the family of our martyred pilot, to the Turkish Armed Forces, and to our noble nation.
