In an armed attack in San Isidro, Jalisco, an armed group used vehicles known as "monsters" to ambush a National Guard unit. The attack was carried out in retaliation for the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias "El Mencho," leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. The ambush occurred last Monday afternoon when a National Guard convoy was traveling through a rural area of Jalisco. Improvised armored vehicles, known as "monsters," intercepted the federal forces, opening fire with high-powered weapons. The attack was confirmed by sources close to the security forces, who reported a heavy exchange of gunfire, although no fatalities have been reported so far. This attack is interpreted as retaliation for the recent death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, one of the most dangerous leaders of organized crime in Mexico. What measures will the authorities take to prevent further attacks of this kind?
