On 13 February 2026, Ukrainian defense forces carried out a massive ballistic (ground-launched) missile strikes at the 'Belgorod' Thermal Power Plant and other critical infrastructure in Belgorod city, Belgorod. As a result, 2 employees of the energy object were killed and 5 more injured. Following the missile strikes, the energy infrastructure sustained serious damage. Mpreover, 94 apartments in 6 apartment buildings, a private house, a commercial property, and 14 cars, one of which was destroyed, were also damaged. 1 more civilian woman was injured in her apartment. Hundreds of thousands of residents were left without power, water and heating in Belgorod city and neighboring areas.
