On 13 February 2026, in Itaituba (Para), military police officers clashed with three suspected members of a drug trafficking group in the Nova Miritituba neighborhood, in the district of Miritituba, killing one of them. The suspects fled after disobeying a stop order and entered a residence, where one of them attempted to retrieve a firearm and was shot by officers, while the other two escaped. The deceased was investigated for involvement in crimes and was suspected of acting as a 'discipline' member in a drug trafficking group, and of attempting to take control of territory from a rival group. 1 fatality.
