In Tanintharyi Region's Palaw Township, attacks on the military's stationed Taung Khawmlong village police station and Taung Yakan village police station resulted in 6 soldiers killed, and the Taung Khawmlong village station was attacked and captured, as stated by the Information and Public Relations from KNLA Brigade-4 Special Unit to Yangon Khit Thit News Agency.
On February 17 at 5:30 a.m., KNLA Brigade 4 Special Unit and the Taung Ywa National Liberation Army (DNLA) jointly attacked the police station in Taung Khawmlong village, Palaw Township, which had 27 troops; the revolutionaries bombed it with drones, and the military fired back with 7 heavy weapons; at 8:23 a.m. on February 17, the station was fully captured. During that engagement, because the revolutionary units repeatedly bombed with drones, all soldiers abandoned and fled the station, it is learned.
