Grenade event in Zacatecas, Mexico on Thu 12th February 2026

On 12 February 2026, in El Soyate, Zacatecas, armed individuals from a criminal group shot at the state police. There are two versions, one is that the individuals attacked at the officers who are bodyguards of a well known Mexican artist when he was on his way to the International Airport Calera de Victor Rosales and was going out from his ranch. Another version from the authorities, is that the attack was not against the artist but against a military convoy was passing by. The perpetrators used fragmentation grenades. There were no casualties.
