On 12 February 2026, armed youth suspected of being from Unity State's Mayom County (likely Bul Nuer community members, based on location), along with others from the Mayen-Jur area of Gogrial East (likely members of the Apuk section of the Rek Dinka, based on location), clashed with Gelweng youth (likely from the Twic Dinka community, based on location) at an unspecified location in Twic County (coded to Turalei, the county headquarters in Warrap State), resulting in at least 10 fatalities. The clash followed an attack by the Mayom and Gogrial East youth that injured 3 people and raided an unspecified number of cattle. Some of the stolen animals were recovered.
