On 12 February 2026, Fano claimed to have clashed with ENDF, Amhara regional riot police, and Kebele militia and took over Alemsaga (Farta, South Gondar, Amhara). Fano forces further claimed to have seized various types of weapons and ammunition, and to have captured members of the state security forces. Casualties unknown.
