On 11 February 2026, the Israeli military fired two artillery shells targeting the main square in Aita ech Chaab (Bint Jbeil, Al Nabatieh). At the same time, Israeli drones reportedly dropped five stun grenades during a funeral procession in the town. Casualties unknown. Following multiple requests from local residents, the Lebanese Army was deployed to the town to protect the procession.
