Violence in Jalisco reached a new level of severity this morning when gunmen from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) used a gas tanker truck as an explosive projectile against the National Guard facilities in San Juan de los Lagos. This attack is part of the violent criminal counteroffensive following the confirmed death of their top leader, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias "El Mencho."
According to official reports from military authorities, the tanker truck was deliberately rammed into the facade of the federal station and then detonated. The resulting explosion caused severe structural damage to the main entrance and various operational areas inside the building.
At this time, security institutions are withholding the number of possible casualties or wounded personnel, while emergency teams assess the building's stability.
