On 10 February 2026, in Chet Kan village (Pauk township, Pakokku district, Magway region), the Myanmar military conducted at least 10 airstrikes with three jet fighters in Chet Kan village and its surroundings around 11:00 am. The airstrike hit the pagoda festival in the village and killed 5 people including four women and injured 13 people including 3 severely injured. While Democratic Voice of Burma and Myanmar Now reported that the airstrike killed 5 people, Shwe Phee Myay News Agency and Khit Thit Media reported that at least 10 people were killed. Fatalities coded as 5, using the lowest estimates. 5 fatalities.
