On 10 February 2026, between Thayetchaung town and Win Wa village (coded as Win Wa) (Thayetchaung township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), a combined force of Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA) (Brigade-4 Battalion-12, Brigade-6 Battalion-27) and allies attacked a column of Myanmar military soldiers (IB-403, 404, 405) who were on their way to an outpost in Win Wa village. The combined force seized two MA1 guns and five MA3 guns. 9 military soldiers were killed. 9 fatalities.
