On 10 February 2026, in Manacapuru (Amazonas), military police officers clashed with drug traffickers on the Solimoes River near the Bela Vista community. The suspects, traveling in two armored speedboats, opened fire on police, triggering a gunfight that lasted approximately 30 minutes. Authorities seized two .50 caliber machine guns, grenades, the vessels, and approximately two tons of drugs. There were no fatalities.
