On 01 December 2019, regime warplanes carried out airstrikes on Barsa in Idleb. Neither injuries nor fatalities were reported. Several strikes targeted Barsa Elementary School partially destroying the school building and causing intermediate damage to the furniture. The school is currently not in use due to the displacement of most of the village's residents as a result of regime and Russian strikes and shelling.
