On 9 February 2026, in Nyaung Oke village (Myaing township, Pakokku district, Magway region), the Myanmar military conducted two airstrikes with two jet fighters and dropped four 250-lb bombs around 10:00 PM and around 10:15 PM. The first airstrike hit the west part of the village and the second airstrike hit the monastery. The airstrike injured two senior novices and one lay attendant. The airstrike destroyed the monastery buildings.
