On 9 February 2026, in Moke Kha Mawt village (Kyaikto township, Thaton district, Mon state), Khit Thit Media and Independent Mon News Agency reported that a column of 200 Myanmar military soldiers from Theini Za Yat village shot and killed a 50-year-old civilian man who was trying to flee in the morning. Mizzima and Democratic Voice of Burma reported that 4 civilians were killed. The Myanmar military also looted civilian houses. Fatalities coded as 1, using the lowest estimate.
