On 9 February 2026, an armed group (likely a local militia, based on the location and type of action) attempted to kill local militia leader Mohamed Nini in Ajaylat (An Nuqat al Khams, West). The target of the attack and one of his companions were injured but survived. Following the incident, the militia led by Nini deployed in the area of the city where the attack took place (coded separately).
