On 8 February 2026, in Ngathayauk town (Nyaung-U township, Nyaung-U district, Mandalay region), a combined force of the 21 Bagan - People's Defense Force and the Daung Yin Thway Local Defense Force shot at the 2 Myanmar military soldiers coming out of the Ngathayauk Myoma police station at around 12:30 pm. A military soldier was killed and another was injured. 1 fatality.
