On 8 February 2026, in Kan village (Mingin township, Kale district, Sagaing region), the Student Revolution Force (SRF) conducted drone strikes on Myanmar military troops stationed in the village at about 10:30 am. In response, the military returned fire using small and heavy weapons, and the two sides exchanged fire for about 30 minutes. Casualties unknown.
