On 8 February 2026, near San Kan village (Chauk township, Magway district, Magway region), the combined force of the Aye Yar Daung, the Chaung U Revolutionary Army, the People's Defense Force (PaKaPha)-Chauk, and the Bagan Bo Cho PDF ambushed and attacked the Myanmar military column of about 70 troops and Pyu Saw Htee members between San Kan and Bo Kone village near the border of Chauk and Nyaung-U townships around 11:43 AM. Khit Thit Media reported that during the clash, 11 Myanmar military soldiers were killed and 1 Pyu Saw Htee member was arrested. The combined forces seized two ammunition magazines and 56 rounds of 5.56mm caliber ammunition. Another source, the Mizzima, reported that 10 soldiers were killed. Fatalities coded as 10, using the lowest estimates. 10 fatalities.
