On 8 February 2026, the Nigerien army escorting a logistics convoy from Dori to Kaya clashed with armed militants (likely JNIM, based on location) in the village of Diouga (Bani, Seno, Soum). 1 militant was killed, and one AK rifle, ammunition, and IEDs were seized. One soldier was also injured.
