On 7 February 2026, Darod-Marehan and Hawiye-Habar Gedir-Saleban sub-clan militia exchanged gunfire in Balli-Sokor area, on the outskirts of Dhabad town (Cabudwaaq, Galgaduud). The motive was due to land disputes over grazing and longstanding inter-clan grievances. 1 person was injured.
