On 7 February 2026, a Kebbi militia attacked a joint security team (likely comprising the military, police, and VSN members, given the usual security arrangement in the area) in Tungan Babu Lada village, location coded to LG, HQ, Bunza (Kebbi, Bunza). The militia had killed a civilian and rustled some cattle. 1 militant was killed and 4 motorcycles were recovered by military forces. There were 2 fatalities.
