On 7 February 2026, in the afternoon, JNIM militants attacked the village of Djambende (Soudougui, Koulpelogo, Centre-Est). 1 soldier was killed. The militants also set fire to several houses in the village. JNIM claimed to have attacked a military post in the village, killing 1 soldier, seizing weapons and other equipment. JNIM published photographs of the seized items.
