On 6 February 2026, near Kyar Hnyat village (Thabeikkyin township, Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), fighting broke out between the Myanmar military from Twin Nge and a combined force of the People's Defense Force - Mandalay District, the People's Defense Force - Kyaukse and allies while the Myanmar military soldiers advanced towards Takaung town captured by the combined force on 12 August 2024 (coded separately). Heavy weapons were fired. Casualties unknown.
