On 6 February 2026, in the afternoon, JNIM militants attacked volunteer fighters (VDP) in the village of Woula (Djibasso, Kossi, Boucle du Mouhoun). JNIM claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it killed 2 VDP, and seized two weapons, machine guns and a motorcycle. JNIM published photographs of the seized items.
