On 6 February 2026, counter terrorism department (CTD) and police personnel conducted an operation targeting ISPP militants in Nowshera district (Nowshera, KPK), responsible for the suicide attack targeting the Shia mosque in Islamabad city (coded separately). A heavy clash ensued during the operation, killing a police sub-inspector and wounding five others, including an intelligence official, a police sub-inspector, and two elite force members. 1 fatality and 5 injured.
