On 6 February 2026, As-Sweida National Guard fighters conducted an infiltration attempt in the vicinity of Majdal, in rural As Sweida, leading police forces to respond to the infiltration attempters by targeting them with mortar shelling and to clashes between both, resulting in killing a fighter of the National Guard and injuring three others. During the clashes, the National Guard fighters shot down an armed drone belonging to police. 1 fatality.
