Around 5 February 2026 (as reported), Wagner Group beat and injured three FACA soldiers at a checkpoint in Ouadda-Maikaga, closest to Ouadda (Ouadda, Haute-Kotto), who were deserting their post in Ouanda-Djalle due to harsh conditions. One soldier collapsed and was sent to Bangui for medical care, while the other two were forced to walk 170 km back to Ouanda-Djalle. There were no fatalities.
