On 5 February 2026, in Mi Ae village (Saw township, Gangaw district, Magway region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped two 500-pound bombs on the village at around 4:30 pm, without an armed clash occurring. About 4 civilian houses were destroyed. 5 civilians (a 10-year-old girl, a 13-year-old girl, a 40-year-old woman, a 53-year-old woman and an 80-year-old woman) were killed and 2 others (a 57-year-old woman and a 59-year-old woman) were injured. 5 fatalities.
