On 5 February 2026, in Sin Htoe Gyi village (Palaw township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), a mine exploded and injured a man when he stepped on the mine planted by an unknown armed group near a betel shop at the village bridge in the evening. His right leg was injured. He was sent to the Dawei hospital.
