On 5 February 2026, in Min Latt Pan and Hpa Lu villages (coded as Hpa Lu Lay) (Myawaddy township, Myawaddy district, Kayin state), the Myanmar military, temporarily stationed in In Gyin Myaing village on the Hpa Lu-Waw Lay road station, conducted drone strikes using Kamikaze drones. The Myanmar military also fired heavy weapons. More than a hundred Kamikaze drones were launched between 2 and 5 February. Casualties unknown.
