On 5 February 2026, ISSP militants targeted a convoy of the Malian army and Africa Corps, using a suicide car bomb (SVBIED) in the area of Adarnakli (Anchawadi, Gao, Gao) and in the village of Tin Tafagat (coded separately). MSA stated that soldiers shot at and destroyed the car bomb. MSA also said that Malian drones and helicopters conducted airstrikes against the militants, killing over 10 militants. ISSP claimed the SVBIED between Ansongo and Menaka, saying it was conducted by a militant named 'Abdurrahman al-Ansari', killing and injuring around 10 soldiers and mercenaries (meaning Africa Corps). 20 (10+10) fatalities split across 2 locations. 10 fatalities coded to this location.
