On 4 February 2026, in Hpasawng township (Bawlake district, Kayah state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped nine bombs with a plane near the Than Lwin river bridge around 11 am. Separately, the military IB-135 stationed in Hpasawng town fired 60 mm heavy weapons. The bridge and the road were damaged. There were no casualties.
