On 4 February 2026, unidentified armed persons (likely BLA, given ongoing operation and area) opened fire at police targets in Quetta city (Quetta, Balochistan), and abducted Washuk Superintendent of Police at gunpoint. Heavy gunfire was also heard in the area. Military forces conducted retaliatory operations targeting militants, resulting in an intense clash, killing 19 militants on 4 February 2026.
