On 2 February 2026, near He Par village (Mohnyin township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), fighting broke out between the joint forces Myanmar military and Shanni Nationalities Army (SNA) and the joint forces of Kachin Independence Army (KIA/KIO) and the Kachin Region People's Defense Force (KPDF). The joint forces of the KIA and the KPDF forces captured small outposts where the Myanmar military and the Shanni Nationalities Army (SNA) were stationed and the Myanmar military also conducted airstrikes during the clashes. Casualties unknown.
