On 2 February 2026, in Mindat township (Mindat district, Chin state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes two times in the Area No. 1 around 2:20 pm and 3:44 pm. During the first airstrike, the Myanmar military jet fighter from the Tada-U Air Force Base dropped three bombs and the second airstrike also hit the vicinity of the area. The airstrike injured a monk and damaged the local monastery and civilian houses.
