On 1 February 2026, security forces (coded as military) engaged in an armed clash with militants (coded as TTP) during an operation in Zerakki village (North Waziristan, KPK). Heavy gunfire erupted when security forces launched an operation following reports of suspected individuals. Militants opened fire, triggering retaliatory fire and use of heavy weapons by the forces. One civilian, identified was killed during the exchange, and several others were injured. Civilian property was damaged, and families fled the area. 1 fatality and several unspecified injured.
