SAA event in Para, Brazil on Sun 1st February 2026

On 1 February 2026, in Sao Miguel do Guama (Para), two hooded unidentified gunmen shot and killed a man during a street party in the Perpetuo Socorro neighborhood. The attackers approached the victim and opened fire before fleeing the scene. The killing was suspected to be related to disputes involving a drug trafficking group, as the victim was suspected to have a leadership role in the CV drug trafficking group in the municipality and to have been involved in at least four recently recorded homicides, as well as being investigated for crimes including robbery, torture, and extortion. 1 fatality.
