On 1 February 2026, in Gurupi (Tocantins), an adult man and a teenager exchanged gunfire during the final match of a football tournament in the Nova Fronteira sector, killing one man and injuring four others. Military police arrested the adult suspect and charged him with drug trafficking, homicide, and four attempted homicides. At his residence, officers seized quantities of marijuana and cocaine. Authorities apprehended the teenager and seized a .38 caliber revolver in his possession. 1 fatality.
