IED event in Balochistan, Pakistan on Sat 31st January 2026

On 31 January 2026, BLA militants attacked military and government installations near the Gwadar port and a labor camp hosting workers in Gwadar city (Gwadar, Balochistan), killing 11 civilians, including five men, three women, and three children, and wounding 11 others at the camp. A BLA militant woman suicide bomber detonated herself near the installations, killing at least one militant (suicide bomber). It is unclear whether the suicide attack resulted in any casualties. BLA claim civilians were killed by military forces, however, mainstream sources claim militants were behind the attack. The attack took place during a series of coordinated gun and bomb attacks across Balochistan province during BLA's 'Operation HEROF Phase-II'. At least 12 fatalities and 11 wounded.
