Grenade event in Balochistan, Pakistan on Sat 31st January 2026

On 31 January 2026, BLA militants attacked the DC Complex, a Levies Control Room, Central Jail, Tehsil Office, and local banks in Mastung town (Mastung, Balochistan), injuring several unspecified number of civilians and freeing more than 30 prisoners from Central Jail Mastung. Militants hurled grenades targeting security check posts, and destroyed public and government property. The attack took place during a series of coordinated gun and bomb attacks across Balochistan province during BLA's 'Operation HEROF Phase-II'. Military forces conducted retaliatory operations targeting militants, resulting in an intense clash, killing 125 people, including 92 militants, 18 civilians, and 15 security personnel, on 31 January 2026.
