On 31 January 2026, overnight, the Chadian gendarmerie clashed with unidentified armed individuals at the entry of Darasna (Aboudeia, Salamat), leading to the injury of one gendarme and the injury of one unidentified armed individual. The gendarmerie later seized three AKM rifles. Three days later, the sub-prefecture established a curfew between 10pm and 5am until further notice. There were no fatalities.
