On 29 January 2026, in Paukkhaung township (Pyay district, Bago-West region), a combined force of the Strategy 21, the People's Defense Force - Pyay District Battalion-1, Battalion-2 Company-1,3 attacked a column of about 100 Myanmar military soldiers who were retreating to Baw Dar outpost, following an armed clash near Pyaung Chaung village (coded separately), using 2 mines and small weapons near Ta Khun Taing gate on the Paukkhaung-Oktwin road section. The fighting lasted about 20 minutes. The combined force seized an MA4 gun and a 40mm bomb. About 10 military soldiers were killed. 10 fatalities.
